PowerStrand 6 x 36 Class Wire Core Galvanized Wire Rope
6x36 Class wire ropes includes 6x36WS & 6x41WS construction types.  It's Warrington Seale construction is good for flexibility and improved wear due to the larger outer wires. Suitable for lifting slings, overhead crane ropes, mooring lines, crane ropes and winch lines.
PowerStrand 6x36 Class Wire Rope Core Galvanized Wire Ropes are supplied with a dry lube.  Dry lube is minimal application of oil during the stranding and closing process that allows the wire rope to be manufactured.  The end result is a clear galvanized finish that is slightly oily to the touch.  While galvanizing serves to keep the individual wires from corroding and seizing, it is just a zinc coating.  Ropes should be periodically inspected & re-lubed to ensure wire to wire friction is reduced to extend service life. 
Steel cores wire ropes are used to add strength to the rope, provide resistance to drum crushing and where low stretch is required.
