Passenger Car Traction Chains
 
Passenger Car traction is available in:
- Economical Cable Chains
- Steel Link Chains
- Super Z Passenger Cables
- Alloy Steel Link Pattern design Auto-Tracs
 
For those who just need chains to fulfill highway chain requirements, but would rarely use them - Cable chains or steel link chains would be the most economical choices.
 
For those who intend to use tire chains - Super Z Passenger Cables and Auto-trac is the way to go. Both the Super Z Passenger Cables and Auto-tracs are designed to be installed withouth moving the car.
 
Auto-Tracs are made from Hardened Alloy Square Link Steel Chain welded in a pattern design to provide extended service life and a smoother ride with improved side stear to reduce side slip. Most importantly, it can be installed without moving the car and features patented dual retractors that self tension so there is no need to go back out and retighten chains.
 
Best way to find chain size:  Enter tire size into top right "Enter Keyword or Part Number" field.
ie:  205/60R15 or 205/60-15
 
Depending on tire size, results may show 2 chains of same type - choose larger size if being used with heavy tread or snow tires
 
!!! Due to variations in tire manufactures, and the geometry of the suspensions in many cars - it is imperative that you find out that there is enough clearance for chains to be used. It is also important to install chains prior to actual use and examine for proper fit. If using on front wheel drives it is neccessary to turn wheels all the way to the left, and right to make sure chains will clear all components, and body work when car is in motion. !!!
