Pike Poles are availabe in both Aluminum, and Ash handles.
 
Columbus Mckinnon Pike Poles are manufactured to withstand extensive use of handling timber in and around water.  All pike hooks are manufactured from a single piece of high carbon steel and drop forged.
 
Aluminum Handles are manufactured from anodized aluminum which lasts considerably longer than non-anodized aluminum when used in corrosive or wet environments. CM Aluminum Pike Poles are considerably lighter than the same lengths made with ash and will not warp or break with continued use. CM’s exclusive CORE LOK rubber seal assures a watertight barrier.
 
All Ash handles are second growth American Ash - with straight grain throughout the entire handle length. Ash is used in Pike Poles because it is lighter in weight than other woods and offers extremely long grains increasing resiliency to tearing before breaking.
