2049 Heavy Truck Cable Chains
2049 cable chains are an entry level traction chain. These cables are for heavy truck, bus, pick ups and RV's. They are designed to be used on tires with standard highway type tread. Do not use with winter tires, or heavy lug tires as cables will fall in between tread blocks and reduce traction. Chains are made with galvanized cable with hardened rollers for wear.

For those that are intending to use chains regularly, we suggest using higher end chains tailored for better traction and wear. These alternatives are more expensive, but will stand up much longer and require less maintenance yielding a much lower cost per mile of traction.

!!! Due to variations in tire manufactures, and the geometry of the suspensions in many trucks, it is imperative that you find out that there is enough clearance for chains to be used. It is also important to install chains prior to actual use and examine for proper fit. Chains must clear all components, and body work when truck is in motion. !!!
