Design
The PCW3000 was designed to meet the demand for an even more portable model than the original winch PCW5000. Its capstan drum concept allows users to pull loads over an unlimited length of rope, without loss of power, in a simple, effective, and safe way. In addition, a wide range of accessories has been designed specifically to carry it over long distances such as the Molded Pack Frame and Transport Case!
Performance
The proven reliability of Honda engines, combined with Portable Winch ingenuity, makes the PCW3000 a formidable competitor on the market. The winch can pull up to 700 kg without mechanical advantage. By adding a pulley system, you can go up to five times (5x) the pulling force. That means, with two double pulleys, you could move up to 3,500 kg!

Use the PCW3000 Portable Capstan Winch with any length of 3/8 inch double braided polyester low stretch rope!
It is so easy to use! The rope is tied to the object to be moved and wound three (or four) times around the capstan drum. When the engine is running, the capstan drum rotates continuously and the friction created by pulling on the free end of the rope pulls the object.
Portable Winch Co. also offers a range of transport accessories in order to facilitate your movements, even over long distances! Whether you use the molded case (PCA-0102*) attached to the backpack (PCA-0104*) or strapped onto your off-road vehicle, your outing in the woods will be enhanced.
