Knob & Eye & Ring Logging Chokers (Skidder Chokers)
A Knob & Eye & RIng Logging choker is also known as a Skidder Choker. Least common, used only with older winch line skidders. Skidder ring installed into top eye and is used to ride on mainline. The knob end is pushed through and around the log and fits into the pocket of the choker bell.
Capacity is noted as maximum line tension in pounds. It is not based on the weight of the log, but the maximum pulling force the choker can be subjected to as log is being skidded. Factors such as terain slope, shock loading, and snags must be taken into account when selecting size.
