2200 and 4200 Series Twist Link Regular Truck Chains

2200 Series (Singles), and 4200 Series (Triples) are by far the most common chains seen on the highways today.  This chain is an entry level carbon steel link chain and does not offer the best traction or service life, but is the most economical way to fullfill DOT highway chain requirements.  The key benefits of this chain over traditional 2000/4000 series entry level cables is that it is made from chain so the cross rails do not tend to sink inbetween the tire lugs and the cross chain hooks can take alittle more strain as they are formed from solid wire stock.

For those that are intending to use chains frequently, we suggest using higher end chains tailored for better traction and wear.  These alternatives are more expensive, but will stand up much longer and require less maintenance yielding a much lower cost per mile of traction.

We suggest:
- Super Z Heavy Truck Cables for snow covered roads
- Alloy Square Link for snow and ice covered roads
- V-bar reinforced for deep snow, mud and ice covered roads
- Scorpion Studded for off-road use where extreme traction is required

Best way to find chain size:  Enter tire size into top right "Enter Keyword or Part Number" field.

ie:  11R22.5 or 11-22.5

Depending on tire size, results may show 2 chains of same type - choose larger size if being used with heavy tread or snow tires

!!! Due to variations in tire manufactures, and the geometry of the suspensions in many trucks is imperative that you find out that there is enough clearance for chains to be used. It is also important to install chains prior to actual use and examine for proper fit. Chains must clear all components, and body work when truck is in motion. !!!
